Company supports brokers in remaining compliant under impending data protection legislation
Brighton, UK – 22 February 2018 – Applied Systems today announced the release of its white paper, Understanding the General Data Protection Regulation: A Guide to Prepare Your Business. The white paper examines the European Union’s new data protection framework that will come into effect on 25 May 2018. The white paper delves into the complexities of the new General Data Protection Regulation, and how businesses and other commercial activities will have to follow strict requirements concerning the processing of personal data.
GDPR will impact any organisation that processes personal data in connection with goods/services offered to an EU resident or monitoring the behaviour of persons within the EU. The GDPR strengthens individuals’ privacy rights by providing tighter limits on the processing of their personal data, significantly expanding the individual’s control and providing increased transparency into the nature and purpose of processing activities and how their data will be used.
