Retrieve real-time motor quotes
The Applied Motor client calls the new Applied messaging service to retrieve motor quotations for participation insurers in real time. If a policy quotation is selected, an Accept process is invoked to generate point-of-sale documentation via the quote engine.
Quotes are cached to the Applied database for up to 31 days or less, if accepted. Additional detail is stored with each quote to indicate if the quote is guaranteed, refused for exceptional reasons, declined or referred.
Access business analysis reporting
Web Client provides a suite of business analysis reports for insurers containing risk data extracted from all quotes stored via the rating service.
Support rating self-service
The Hub supports rating self-service. It provides a facility to upload a copy of the file for each motor scheme with basic validation of each e.g. filename, file modified date. It is also possible to roll back to the last live environment and restart services in this environment.
