Anderson Insurance Associates makes better business decisions with Applied

Due to its coastal geography and multiple locations, Anderson Insurance Associates required software that would enable all staff to access business data anytime, anywhere in case of inclement weather. The agency also needed a way to gain clearer insights into the health of the business. Anderson Insurance chose Applied technology to resolve its unique geographical challenges.

Challenge

Anderson Insurance Associates is based on the coast of South Carolina and has a niche clientele that require bundled policies for flood and storm. The agency faced some unique challenges due to its coastal location. Anderson Insurance needed an agency management system that allowed them to access and manage the business anytime, anywhere in the case of weather emergencies. Additionally, the national figures were not always applicable to Anderson Insurance, so it needed software to compare business growth from a coastal perspective.

Applied Epic enables staff at Anderson Insurance to service customers during weather emergencies. During a recent flood, staff were unable to work from the office. Another branch stayed open and was able to access all client files to continue servicing customers affected by weather. “The cloud-based system is a major part of our disaster recovery plan,” said Moniz. “With multiple locations, it’s critical for everyone to have the same access to the same data. With three coastal offices, storms and floods constantly threaten our business continuity, and Applied Epic ensures we stay up and running.” Applied Epic enables staff to focus on customers when they need it most.

Analyzing client and business data at Anderson Insurance is a major part of its strategic plan. As an integrated software application, Applied PerformanceManagement allows executives to make better and faster decisions based on client and prospect data in Applied Epic. “Applied PerformanceManagement allows us to view everything in terms of profitability, and lets us analyze our data in a way similar to larger captive agencies,” said Moniz. “Every key performance indicator is tied to monetary goals of our agency, so when we make changes, we can see the impact on our employees, clients and our bottom line.”

Applied PerformanceManagement enables Anderson Insurance to look at the health of the agency based on its unique geography. “Applied PerformanceManagement lets us look at our own market and see how we are performing from a coastal perspective,” said Moniz. “We are then able to better understand our business growth based on unique geography dashboards.” Moniz can also see RPE in moments and look at policy growth and retention, making year-over-year comparisons instantly. Applied software enables Anderson Insurance to streamline operations and keep a significant presence in its market.
