According to the most recent ACT/AUGIE Real-Time/Download Survey, real-time inquiry is saving almost an hour each day per agency employee with billing as the most frequently used inquiry transaction. You have the capability to request a current status on a policy or bill directly from your agency management system using Real-Time Policy or Billing Inquiry.
The response you receive will typically be a pdf or HTML page, not data that would go back in to the agency management system. By making this request from your agency management system, you can respond to the customer quickly and easily by not leaving your system to log in to an agent portal or make a phone call. In addition to Real-Time Billing Inquiry, Real-Time Make Payment is an available transaction.
Real-Time Endorsement Bridge provides an easy way for you to begin a change request in your agency management system and use real-time to bridge over to that policy in the carrier system to complete the change. This provides an E&O trail within your agency management system, saves you time, and provides a consistent workflow by not having to leave the agency management system to log in to the carrier’s agent portal.
