What an incredible year we've had! As we prepare to welcome 2025, let's take a moment to celebrate the highlights from the past 12 months. We’re genuinely proud of our team's hard work and the positive impact we've made on our customers and the industry. From exciting product enhancements to innovative partnerships, we've focused on delivering solutions that simplify and enhance your business experience.
Let’s reflect on some of our brilliant successes this year and share what we've achieved together.
In 2024, many forward-thinking brokers discovered the Epic difference. Here are a few of their inspiring stories and why they chose Applied Epic® as their broker management system.
Ian Pitt, General Manager of Compare HGV Insurance, explains how they worked with Applied to meet their unique business requirements.
Richard Huntley of Cover4Insurance explains how their partnership with Applied simplifies life for their staff and customers.
Mark Wilkinson, Managing Director of Norton Insurance Brokers, shares how adopting Applied Epic as their broker management system streamlined operations and elevated customer experience.
In May, we announced an expanded partnership with Bravo Networks to support client money management for their Applied Epic brokers. The partnership has enabled Bravo Networks and Applied to deliver new reporting functions and FCA compliance assurances for members, ensuring FCA compliance responsibilities and enabling additional cost savings and scalability.
The future of insurance is driven by the need for talent attraction, enhanced experiences, better connectivity, and data-driven insights for revenue growth. Technology is key, enabling these improvements and facilitating a Digital Roundtrip of Insurance focused on R&D and product delivery. This approach automates processes across personal and commercial lines, fostering digital connections among stakeholders and delivering greater value.

We believe that continuing to build our broker panel and capabilities for personal and commercial lines are. The single view and consistent workflows across all lines of business within Applied Epic are just the beginning of delivering practical, simple solutions.
We have been keenly focused on building our personal lines capabilities, adding several Insurer-Hosted Pricing (IHP) integrations for Pen Underwriting and Ageas, as well as standard enrichment from Lexis Nexis. Plus, we have opened our personal lines panel up to the industry via APIs with Applied Rating Hub, the UK market’s go-to personal lines rating service that digitally connects brokers and insurers to enable policy rating and fulfillment across industry-standard personal motor and household policies.
Advancements to our commercial lines panel have positioned our customers for significantly expanded access to forthcoming insurer additions. This year, we have worked closely with Polaris to test new products and versions including Commercial Combined v4, Mini Fleet and Commercial Line Renewals for Shop, Office, Mini Fleet, Property Owners & Tradesman products. We also added Arch Insurance to deliver greater choice in Property Owners coverage.
When we acquired Riskhandler™ in 2022, we set out on the mission to further connect the industry and enable access to a broader range of products. Today, Applied Riskhandler enables insurers, MGAs, cover holders and other delegated authority underwriters to quickly go to market with new products and maintain real-time control of pricing and risk acceptance. This year’s focus and innovation to the product positions integration with Applied Epic management system.
In line with our commitment to drive technological advancement in our industry, 2024 marks another milestone for Applied Europe through our pioneering solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of the UK market, proving that Applied is your indispensable insurance technology partner.
Key enhancements across our portfolio this year include:
The Applied insurer panel connects brokers to an extensive set of insurers and products across both commercial and personal lines business, while our rating technology enables an end-to-end digital process for quoting and fulfilling personal lines products.
Commercial Lines Renewals allows renewal invites to be generated from Renewals Manager for all electronically rated commercial lines policies, including straight and rebroke renewals, with renewal comparisons with selected insurers. Continuous renewals can also be enabled for your clients, just as you do for personal lines.
CCI V4 and Minifleet V3 are in test with iMarket, enabling support for the Polaris Commercial Combined V4 full cycle workflow and Minifleet V3 standard, creating easier access to a broader set of eRated Commercial Lines products and faster quoting.
Expanded commercial lines panel offers more products and schemes from Pen, Ages, KGM and ERS available on the Applied Europe platform, delivering more choice for the end insured and greater opportunity for brokers to expand their business.
High Volume Rating Hub provides a faster, more scalable rating engine to support our customers' growing needs and ensure that we can support them as their volumes and businesses grow.
Applied Epic is the world’s most widely used broker management platform. It allows you to manage and maintain a clear picture of your entire agency across all roles, locations, and lines of business and a comprehensive set of open APIs enables customers to integrate and extend their tech stack.
Enhanced Renewal APIs including Direct Debit Day at Renewal and Support for variable brokerage commission on bound leads automate critical workflows, enabling you to manage your costs while delivering a better customer experience.
Leads Import Bank Details Encryption include API enhancement and enhancements to the core platform and demonstrate our commitment to security and the safety of your data and your customer’s data.
Quote and Buy Solutions provide a set of modern out-of-the-box solutions or APIs for branded quote and buy experiences, reducing the need for additional development overhead.
Automated and Performance Testing within Applied Epic delivers quality and reliability while using the core platform.
We have also developed new tools to enable new products and schemes faster and to help better manage faulted policies.
The FCA Toolkit delivers the tools brokers need to meet ever-evolving compliance needs. It provides the necessary data in the form you need it, along with several out-of-the-box reports.
The FCA Financial Resilience Report can be generated by brokers using Epic Accounting as well as brokers using their broking accounting from the FCA Toolkit to submit on a quarterly basis and comply with new reporting requirements under the new financial resilience return FIN073.
The Client Money Exception Report delivers visibility into prerequisites set for all insurers and premium payable entities to ensure compliance with the FCA CASS Client Money Calculation without having to review each record.
The Applied Rules Engine ensures that you can react and tune your pricing to maximise your opportunity and minimise your risk.
Rules Engine Loadings allow the price output from the rating engine to be manipulated by defined loading rules. This enables brokers to offer enhanced pricing flexibility and precision based on specific underwriting criteria and ensures the price is tailored to the client's risk profile or market condition.
Multi-Column Data Rules Creation enables the use of a CSV file to automatically generate multiple rules based on the reference data, eliminating the need to generate individual rules and conditions against each and creating significant efficiency and scalability.
The Active and Inactive Rules Toggle makessdx it easier to turn rules on or off, allowing for simpler adaptation to changing business requirements or testing of different scenarios without permanent changes.
In 2024, we travelled around the UK, attending conferences like BIBA, Broker Expo, the MGAA Conference, and even touched down in America at Applied Net ’24 in Nashville, Tennessee.
We are always happy to meet with brokers, network partners, and insurers as we expand our panels. Engaging in meaningful conversations with brokers, insurers and technology partners we have yet to collaborate with is incredibly valuable and we look forward to continuing these conversations next year. Additionally, it was great to connect with customers in our “Customer Corner,” where we supported our brokers in maximising the benefits of Applied Epic.
While we’re grateful for all our success this year, we’re even more thankful for the people: our nimble team whose relentless focus on innovation made all these achievements possible; our great partners who work tirelessly alongside us to better our industry; and our customers whose unwavering support fuels us to keep advancing. We look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together in 2025 and beyond.
