The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB) is the premier association for the top regional, national and international commercial insurance and employee benefits intermediaries worldwide. Council members are market leaders who annually place 85 percent of U.S. commercial property/casualty insurance premiums and administer billions of dollars in employee benefits accounts.
The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) – also known as the Big "I" – is a national alliance of more than a quarter million business owners and their employees who offer all types of insurance and financial services products. Unlike company-employed agents, Big "I" independent insurance agents and insurance brokers represent more than one insurance company, so they can offer clients a wider choice of auto, home, business, life, health coverages as well as retirement and employee-benefit products.
InVEST, a school-to-work insurance program, teams with high school and college educators to provide a useful insurance curriculum for students. With the help of InVEST liaisons (insurance professionals), students have the opportunity for job shadow days, internships or even careers after graduating from InVEST. Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) is a voluntary, membership-based trade association representing professional, independent property/casualty insurance agents. PIA represents independent insurance agents in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.
