Mercury Insurance expects 4,000 staff hours back a year

Moving to Ivans Download replaced a proprietary system, so staff time goes to helping agents grow their books.

Summary

From a proprietary system to connectivity agencies know

Mercury Insurance supports a network of more than 9,400 agencies. It used to deliver downloads through its own proprietary system, and every download issue went through the help desk. As the agency force grew, so did the calls and the staff needed to handle them. Competitors also told agencies that working with Mercury meant special training and dedicated staff.

Mercury moved to Ivans Download, which delivers eDocs, messages, and other insurance information directly into agents’ management systems using technology agencies already know. The carrier estimates it will free up about 4,000 staff hours a year to put back into helping agents grow their books of business, and it expects significant savings from fewer help desk hours and a smaller IT staff.
