Before the integration, onboarding a new agency at Frankenmuth Insurance and setting up its download was an entirely manual job. Staff entered the same agency data into several internal systems, then configured every download setting by hand. The workflow was slow and prone to errors.
The data entry itself took about an hour. Depending on staff availability, though, the full turnaround often stretched from several days to a week, and agencies ready to write business had to wait.

A near-zero-touch connection between Duck Creek and Applied
Frankenmuth built an automated integration between the agency database in Duck Creek, its partner’s distribution management system, and Applied. The aim was to remove duplicate data entry and connect agencies faster.
New agencies now complete an online onboarding form that sends their data straight to the Duck Creek Distribution Management System. From there, Applied creates the trading partnerships and activates Ivans Download with no internal touch points.
For existing agencies, the process is simpler still. Staff check a box in Duck Creek, and an API updates the agency’s setup in Applied right away, without a separate manual login.
