A: Applied Systems has completed the strategic acquisition of Dynamis Software Corporation (“Dynamis”). This transaction brings together Applied Systems, the leading provider of agency management systems globally, with Dynamis, a leading provider of employee benefits technology solutions in the US. Dynamis has developed innovative solutions to support US employee benefits agencies and their clients’ with plan design decisions.  Dynamis will integrate into Applied Systems’ US operations and will continue to focus on delivering integrated technologies for employee benefits agencies. 

Q: Who is Dynamis?  What is the nature of their business?

A: Dynamis is a leading technology solution provider to employee benefits agents in the US.  The company has 21 team members and is based in Milwaukee, WI.  Dynamis launched its Dynamic Plan Designer solution in 2016 and has grown to serve over 150 insurance agencies in the US. 

Dynamis’ Dynamic Plan Designer automates the plan design process, and it allows the agent to make changes to an employer’s benefit plan design and understand the impact of these changes in real time. For agents, the solutions eliminate the need for multiple client meetings and static paper reports, saving the agent time during the busy renewal season. By automating the plan design process, agents can provide an enhanced experience with clients and differentiate itself from competitors with prospects. For employers, the Dynamic Plan Designer solution assists in managing and controlling healthcare spend by showing how different plan design options and contribution strategies impact cost and coverage.

Q: Why did Applied acquire Dynamis?
