The need for proper infrastructure to support rapid growth in multiple lines of business

Since Ted Dyste acquired and became President of Dyste Williams Insurance in 1992, the agency has grown every year. As Dyste Williams grew, it began to branch out into new blocks of business. “Right now we are in the process of acquiring another business that is solely group insurance,” said Dyste. “While we have experience in small group insurance, we are acquiring a block of business that is large group insurance.” Because of this rapid growth, the agency needed technology that enabled it to easily scale and integrate new business seamlessly.

Staff also needed mobility, in order to assist clients away from the office. “Being able to be at home or out of the office and access our data is really important to me,” said Dyste. “Very recently, we had a client who had a loss at their property and I wasn’t in the office at the time,” said Dyste. In order to satisfy the demand of its clients, Dyste Williams also required anytime, anywhere technology.

While we have experience in small group insurance, we are acquiring a block of business that is large group insurance. With the tools provided by Applied Epic, we are confident that we will have the software to support the new acquisition.
