Applied Systems Announces Appointment of Steve Whitelaw as Vice President of Industry and Partner Relations

Whitelaw joins with 20 plus years of technology leadership and industry relations to drive collaboration across insurance stakeholders
Mississauga, ON – April 2, 2019 – Applied Systems® today announced that Steve Whitelaw has been appointed Applied Systems Vice President, Industry and Partner Relations for the Canadian marketplace. Whitelaw will be responsible for industry and partner relations strategies for the Canadian marketplace.
“The industry is undergoing digital transformation, and it is critical that all constituents of the industry are working together to ensure the broker distribution channel is competitive and positioned for growth over the long term,” said Whitelaw. “I’m very pleased to be joining Applied and look forward to supporting the development and execution of the company’s Canadian marketplace strategy going forward.”
Prior to Applied, Whitelaw was Vice President, IT Planning, Execution & Operational Effectiveness at Travelers Canada. Over his career at Travelers Canada, he served several executive roles focused on strategic planning and execution, personal lines and business solutions. In addition, Whitelaw has actively participated on many industry association boards and committees, including Health Claims for Automobile Insurance Processing (HCAIP) and most recently as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Centre for the Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO).
