Streamlining the commercial quoting process

While Applied Epic® provided an end-to-end customer lifecycle management system with a single view of the business, LMBF sought an integrated workflow that reduced the need to quote insurers via individual portals so they could drive bottom-line efficiency and top-line premium growth.
Implementing an integrated commercial quoting solution
For LMBF, the traditional methods of handling commercial quoting processes were fraught with inefficiencies. “Our manual quoting system was cumbersome and tedious,” explains Marie Habib, director of IT Business Solutions and Support Services. “Each insurer application was different, requiring double entry, which led to lengthy response times and a frustrating experience for our staff and clients alike.” Recognizing that these barriers hampered productivity and put customer satisfaction at risk, LMBF realized that a transformation was imminent.
Determined to streamline processes and boost customer satisfaction, LMBF partnered with Applied to implement Epic Quotes Commercial Lines, the industry’s embedded commercial lines rating solution for Canadian brokers. By integrating commercial lines rating capabilities directly into Applied Epic®, the system can pre-fill customer and risk data already in Applied Epic. This eliminates redundant data entry and allows brokers to quote multiple insurers across more than 240 business categories using a single interface.

LMBF's partnership with Applied offers innovative solutions that scale and grow with the business, which is essential for their continued growth. Marie Habib said, “I believe what Applied has done well is standardizing documentation, adding CSIO standards, and IBC codes.” She added, “IBC codes are much more standardized with Epic Quotes Commercial Lines. Even though not all insurers are using these standards yet, we've already seen efficiencies coming out of that.”
