Money in the bank sooner
Premium clears in days rather than waiting on the mail and a manual deposit, which is working capital the brokerage can use.
Applied Epic®
Your client pays by card, EFT or digital wallet. The money reaches the account the moment it clears, with nothing left to key in.
A cheque takes days to clear, a card payment lands in a processor’s report, and either way someone keys it in by hand.
Payments collected and facilitated through Applied Epic connect the chain. The client pays how they want, and the money lands on the right account, all without the complexity of managing multiple tools.
What Applied Epic payments changes for a brokerage’s finance team
Premium clears in days rather than waiting on the mail and a manual deposit, which is working capital the brokerage can use.
Payments land on the right invoice as they clear, so nobody spends the week keying a processor's report into the ledger.
Money owed to insurers routes to trust at collection, so the trust balance is right as the month runs.
Card and bank details are encrypted and tokenized to PCI Level 1 and NACHA standards, so the brokerage isn't holding the risk itself.
How it works
Run payments inside Applied Epic, not beside it
Post every transaction to the right invoice in real time. No second login and no export of payment details.
Ask for payment while you’re servicing
Send a payment link by email or text, and the client pays on your brokerage’s branded page. Stop chasing manual payments.
Let clients pay the way they prefer
Take EFT, card or digital wallet, and let clients store the payment method for next time or settle multiple invoices with a single payment. Give choice and make it easy.
How it works
Group merchant accounts by branch
Set up a merchant account per branch so deposits follow the banking structure your brokerage already runs.
Keep trust money separate as it lands
Route premium held for insurers into trust accounts at collection, so the split happens as the money arrives.
Read settlement and exceptions in one view
Track payments, settlement status, payouts and exceptions together, and export the report your auditor asks for.
An insurance payment system is judged on the method a client picks and the audit trail it leaves.
Clients pay by card or EFT, and the receipt applies to the invoice without anyone keying it.
Merchant accounts group by branch, deposits follow your banking structure, and trust accounts stay separate.
Payments, settlement status, payout details and exceptions sit in one view, with reports exportable for audit.
Clients save a card or bank account for next time, and settle several invoices in one payment.
Manage merchant accounts across the brokerage from one place, adding and reconfiguring them as branches change.
Payment data is encrypted and tokenized to PCI Level 1 and NACHA standards, reducing brokerage liability and fraud exposure.

Insurance payment processing in most brokerages runs through a mix of paper checks, a third-party processor, and manual entry into their broker management system, so every payment gets re-entered somewhere. Payments in Applied Epic handles invoicing, collection, and receipt application within the same system where the policy lives, so nothing gets rekeyed after the fact.
Yes. Insureds pay by EFT, card, or digital wallet on a checkout page branded to your brokerage, not a processor. Payment links are generated from Applied Epic and sent by email or text, so a client can pay while you are still on the phone with them.
Yes, for core digital payment collection. Canadia brokerages take card, EFT and digital wallet payments on a branded checkout, with receipts applying automatically to the invoice and sub-merchant management across branches. Integrated lockbox and Premium Finance are US-only add-ons and are not part of the Canadian offering.
It settles to the merchant account configured for that branch, and the receipt applies to the invoice on the client account in Applied Epic at the same time. Premium held for insurers routes to a trust account at collection rather than being separated later, so the trust balance stays right without a manual step.
Yes. Insureds choose EFT, card, or digital wallet at checkout, and your brokerage configures which options are available at the brokerage, branch, or merchant-account level.
Yes. Applied Pay is now called Applied Epic Payments. It is the same capability under a new name, running natively in Applied Epic rather than as a separate product – invoicing, collection and receipt application all happen in the system your team already services the policy in.
