Applied Epic®

Rate home and auto across every market you write

Rate one risk across every market from a single entry. Applied Rating Services connects to Epic, so results and leads flow to the client account.

Rekeying a risk invites a mistake

Every risk you rekey into a standalone rater is a chance to get it wrong. Client data is re-entered, the quote never reaches the account, and the market you skipped may have been the better fit.

Applied Rating Services rates the risk across your markets from one entry, and the results come back into Epic.

Key benefits

What connected personal lines rating changes for a Canadian brokerage

More new business per producer

A producer can work more prospects in the same day, because one entry brings back the full market comparison.

Retention through a rate increase

When an insurer raises the rate, remarketing the account is quick enough to actually do, so the client stays with your brokerage.

Rating in every package tier

Applied Rating Services comes with every Canadian Digital Brokerage Package tier, so rating is part of what your brokerage already licenses.

Fewer errors at bind

One entry feeds every market, so the same risk detail goes to each insurer instead of being retyped per portal.

Frequently asked questions about personal lines rating in Applied Epic

A comparative rater quotes one risk across multiple insurers from a single entry and returns the options side by side. Instead of visiting each insurer site and rekeying the same driver, vehicle and property details, your team enters the risk once and compares live rates in one view.

Applied Rating Services is the personal lines comparative rater Canadia brokerages use with Applied Epic. It runs on the FORTUS rating engine and is BMS-agnostic, so it also serves brokerages on other systems. Account managers use it to requote renewals across markets, and producers use it to rate new business on home, auto and dwelling fire.

Applied Rating Services rates home, auto, condo, tenant and dwelling fire risks. Insurer availability varies by province and shifts as market relationships change. In British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, mandatory auto runs through the government insurer, so rating there applies to optional coverage and to the other lines you place.

Applied Epic Quotes Personal Lines is in development for Canada. Auto entered pilot in July 2026, a home pilot follows in the third quarter, and general availability for both is targeted for the first quarter of 2027. Until then, Applied Rating Services is the personal lines rating connection for Canadia brokerages on Applied Epic.
